Nina Dobrev and Shaun White are getting married!
After more than four years of dating, the couple announced the news on Dobrev’s Instagram on Wednesday in a post captioned, “RIP boyfriend, hello fiancé.” The update featured several romantic photos of herself and White. The “Vampire Diaries” showed off her teardrop-shaped diamond engagement ring in the post, while hugging her fiancé.
White also shared a post of his own writing, “She said YES.”

In an interview with Vogue, the couple detailed how White popped the question earlier this month. The Olympic snowboarder tricked her into thinking she was going to a private Vogue/CFDA dinner with Anna Wintour. When she went up the stairs to the restaurant, she saw White standing in the midst of rose petals and candles placed throughout the room.
“I went into shock. I just froze and stared at him,” she told the publication, adding she kept repeating, “No!” The “Originals” actress says she blacked out in the moment, but knows “he said all the right things.”
The pair sparked romance rumors starting in 2020 when their followers noticed they had both posted photos of their trip to South Africa. They went Instagram official with their romance in May of 2020.
